Operation purpose and expected achievements:
The need for greater use of agricultural technology has been viewed as the most important strategic priority and therefore the project aims to develop and enhance agripreneur’s innovation capacities and to improve their access to advanced technologies through establishment of CROSSMART web platform. It will provide information on trends in agriculture digitalization, highlighting the benefits and challenges of available solutions, showcase examples of good practices and successful implementation of smart solutions, provide information on available calls and opportunities for financing of digital transformation and inform the users of legislation amendments.
Additionally, farm management software will be created to manage data collected from new smart equipment and devices for precise and smart agriculture, such as drones equipped with multispectral sensor, weather stations for monitoring basic climatological data, sensors for monitoring the state of agricultural soil and advanced mobile laboratories for analyses of soil and water, as well as plant juice for the purpose of determining individual macro and microelements. Users will have the possibility of continuous real time monitoring of weather conditions in the field, regular checking of crops and plantations for coverage, growth, health and nutrition status.
Beneficiaries:
The Lead Partner (LP), Centre for Entrepreneurship of Dubrovnik-Neretva County (HR), is responsible for procuring farm management software, designing and maintaining of CROSSMART platform, organisation of kick-off conference, organisation of a study visit to Linz-Land, and launching a marketing campaign for CROSSMART platform.
Municipality of Konavle (HR) is responsible for organisation of knowledge-transfer visit in Konvale and establishing a laboratory centre, which will represent a physical part of the CROSSMART platform aimed at helping agripreneurs from all partner regions to connect and further exchange knowledge and enable collaborations with research institutions.
Office for European Integration of Central Bosnia Canton (BA) is responsible for drawing out a conceptual study for innovative agriculture development in Central Bosnia Canton, organisation of trainings for agripreneurs on smart agriculture solutions, organisation of a knowledge transfer visit in Central Bosnia Canton, launching a marketing campaign for CROSSMART platform, and organisation of final conference.
Municipality of Tuzi (ME) is responsible for procurement of equipment for smart and precise agriculture, drawing out of development plan on innovative agriculture and rural development for Municipality of Tuzi, organisation of a knowledge transfer visit in Municipality of Tuzi, and organisation of trainings for agripreneurs on smart agriculture solutions.
Faculty of Agriculture of University of Zagreb (HR) is responsible for transferring knowledge and enhancing innovation capacities of all project partners and agripreneurs, preparing all project patners for their role of CROSSMART platform coordinators, assisting other project partners in developing agricultural strategic documents, defining technical specifications for farm management software, and organisation of train-the-trainers programme.
Association for Economic Development REDAH (BA) is responsible for procurement of equipment for smart and precise agriculture, organisation of a knowledge transfer visit in Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, and organisation of trainings for agripreneurs on smart agriculture solutions.
