The Ministry of Economic Development announces that the electronic Register of Craftsmen, introduced under the amendments to the Law on Crafts adopted in July 2025, will officially become operational on 1 March 2026.
This Register will function as a public, electronically managed database containing information on craftsmen operating across Montenegro. Its purpose is to create a single, centralized, and regularly updated record within the crafts sector.
All craftsmen conducting activities in Montenegro are obliged to apply for registration with the Chamber of Crafts of Montenegro within three months from the date the Register becomes active.
The registration process has been designed to be straightforward, clearly structured, and fully compliant with current legislation.
By establishing the Register, the following will be achieved:
- a comprehensive and transparent overview of craftsmen nationwide,
- accurate and up-to-date records of registrations, modifications, and deletions,
- stronger institutional support for the crafts sector,
- improved business conditions and enhanced legal certainty for craftsmen
The Ministry of Economic Development and the Chamber of Crafts of Montenegro will continue to cooperate closely in order to support craftsmen and ensure the consistent enforcement of legal provisions.
All relevant details regarding the registration procedure are available through the official application portal: http://registarzanatlija.gov.me/
The portal also provides a detailed user manual containing step-by-step guidance for completing and submitting the application efficiently.
