Project Objectives
The general objective of the project is to transfer knowledge to enable partners to conduct efficient strategic planning and expanded management models for entire territories, focusing on energy efficiency and city safety from risks arising from climate change, following the CoM initiative (Covenant of Mayors).
Project Results
- Establish innovative business models benefiting from knowledge transfer.
- Launch innovative enterprises benefiting from capacity building and training activities aimed at successful market access and positioning in renewable energy sources (through acquired high skills in energy efficiency interventions and energy production from RES).
- Implement small pilot projects for the efficiency of public buildings of partners; (for the municipality of Tuzi, this involves purchasing and installing pellet boilers at the “Mahmut Lekić” Primary School in Tuzi).
- Launch local microgrids (smart grids) on public buildings to exchange energy and data.
Pilot interventions will leverage their financial and ecological potential, allowing startups to test and demonstrate their technical and organizational skills by conducting such pilot actions.
By the end of the project, partners will increase their awareness of final energy use, measurement, and monitoring of achieved results, and will benefit from the implementation of specific adaptation plans aimed at ensuring urban safety. The project will adopt a SMART approach capable of engaging citizens and enabling SMEs from different countries to communicate with each other to create synergies, knowledge exchanges, and cooperation opportunities: such results can only be achieved through a cross-border project.
